With a bin full of used parts it seemed silly not to have a runner. Not modern, not old school- just whatever was kicking around. Topped with a TBG pantera body, I was thinking I was using racing red- it was bright red. Now she looks like a Ferrari. Great basher body now lol! Now if we would get some decent weather around here I can take it up to the dog track parking lot for some fun
That body post spacer is bugging the crap out of me but I won't run a batch of dye for just it.

The chassis is scarfed up and it's a late model with the "is" holes. The radio tray is cut badly for a servo. The front arms are three hole cut down to 2 hole and dyed to hide the evidence. The axle is an early hollow steel diff axle. It's a mutt...so I'm ok with running it! Lol

Looks awesome, Jeff. I love the Pantera body...but you should've gone with a Shelby blue with white stripes theme. Growing up, a couple kids our age (not friends because they were spoiled brats), their father had a Pantera, painted pretty much like this...it always looked and sounded awesome driving by.
Marc, that one got so little love that it almost didn't even get the windows masked out
Sold her a long while back. Decided runners are overrated

Finally got caught up enough to build a runner from my parts bin. Fresh rebuilt 6 gear (rockin a new set of OG white idlers  ) smooth as can be! I did update the chassis just a bit, it’s 1/4” longer to accommodate a lipo pack and bolt in...

No, I was able to copy an original. This one is modified slightly though.
Matt, not a clue on that one. Likely one of the reasons they aren’t used anymore
Saw an old beat-up 12i on the bay, looked like a nice little set-up, snatched 'er up. Here's the bay pic: new buddy.jpg
Both servos work! Receiver does too, but not well enough to use. Motor the same. Resistor is shot. Maybe I'll try that radio...
Call me old fashioned but how the hell is the driver supposed to 'see' outta this... :P

To me, the cab forward bodies make all modern buggy's look like those cheap RC toys that come ready assembled in a box with a clear plastic front. I don't mind low and sleek but cab forward.......pfffft......NO THANKS.
So I was cracking up to myself the other day while building what might actually be the most hideous RC10 ever seen from parts acquired over the last couple of months...everything has been drilled out, had glue splattered on it, rusted...

the guy must have been drunk while drilling the holes for the Stealth :?
I was hoping some of you could give me your suggestions on what ESC units I could consider buying, given my needs and my current equipment. I'll provide as much info as I can, and if you need anything more, please let me know.
Been at this one for a while now and finally about to wrap it up. All parts are scaled 1/2 from the 12e making it a 1/24 car. Fits slot bodies but I'm struggling to find a nice early 80s stock car for it. I made a few concessions along the way but...
