Can you identify early Jrx-2 front wheels other than color?
Besides color can you tell the difference between the early kit wheels that were fragile and the later wheels? I have a sealed bag and can't tell how "orange" they are

I assume they are late but always nice to have an educated opinion to go with it
Actually I may have answered this myself...I assume they are earlier now that I compare em

look Hot Orange to me, but pics are tough?
Tap them with your finger nail, do they sound brittle (and I am not really joking)
Do they look pale, almost yellow?
as I look at the pictures more they might be the lighter orange - I give up

I tap them with my fingernail and it sounds much more plastic than nylon. They have been in the bag buried in a box so they haven't faded at all, but it is hard cause the color is right inbetween the samples I have seen.
I guess I could get out some laquer thinner lol

Dang. Was it only the fronts that were that way? I haven't heard of rears doing that

I'd love for someone to repro these wheels.

Re: Can you identify early Jrx-2 front wheels other than col
The picture above is a really good representation of the wheel colors. The early shade of orange is between the yellow and later orange. Other than the sound and color, there's really no other differences.
As for the rears, I've never seen a new set (of the light orange) on ebay. I have a set of fronts that I've been waiting to put on my car...but I can't find the NIP rears.

If the wheels had ever been used the early wheels are almost bound to show signs of splitting around the inner bearing recess!
