This thread is kinda funny, cause we're in the same situation. We're going to be having our fourth in March of 2014. Praying for a manchild this time, I've currently got three daughters. We haven't told anyone yet either so tight lips guys! Oh, and congrats!

I was laid off from work 3 weeks before our son was born. I haven't worked in 3 months. The time at home with him has been awesome. The extreme budgeting and big decrease in income has been a bummer right now though. I'm sure I'll look back at this time and be thankful that I had all the time off with him. My wife is hugely jealous!

Ouch, that would be such a kick in the gut! But it's fantastic you saw the amazing opportunity that presented itself, to be there for your son's early days is probably a pleasure that most men don't get to experience to the same extent you did. Good on you!
