That's the first time EVER that I can recall seeing someone using one of those Kyosho receiver covers in an actual vehicle...... I've had two or three in packs sitting around for about a squillion years.... thanks for that!
Gotta love the nitro conversions......

We used those covers a lot, during pit stops sometimes fuel would go everywhere and they shielded it well

How on earth does that belt drive conversion work? Did those engines run backwards?

It runs off the back of the engine. The old CZ-1 and 2 had a rear cone start. The clutch is very unique as well. Check out the link above, lots of pics! Moody was a real innovator. He would be the Smokey Yunick of RC. His ideas weren't always the best, but his ideas are still around today in many forms.

Well, we know the trailing arms off those worked. And the front suspension was good. I guess it was the motor hanging 2 feet off the back that didn't catch on

Wow, got wing? With all that weight out the ass-end, did it
really need a wing for rear-end downforce?

Flip the whole thing around into a front wheel drive car.

One day, before the giant meteor strikes the earth, I'm going to build a front engine, RWD nitro car with a live rear axle from a rock crawler.

How about a mid-engine longitudinal mount with 1/8 scale gear diff and Jaguar-style dual inboard brake rotors?

Where's the brakes
Anywhere you can find a solid object to run into........
looks like someone saw a picture of mine or similar, threw their own version together with spare parts, but did not really know what they were doing.
