I do need to sink the rear pulley just a tad more. I didnt check to see if I was bottomed out it not

This shaft can get cut off




Btw, perfect size on the pulley jake! Smaller would have rubbed and larger would have also

The parts look good and I am glad they work. We could always take some more material out of the rear pin slot to have the pulley set deeper on the shaft.

Very nice! Making more progress than I have on my 4WD GT project.

Did you run into issues with the front end regarding axles? I'm gonna have to sink my front diff into the chassis, because as I have it mounted now, the inner end of the bone barely engages with the arms level, but bottoms out in the outdrive cup with only 1-1/4" compression.

I based it around optima bones to keep it era correct and mounting the trans on the tower I could easily adjust the outdrive height. As it sits the bones are pretty secure although I will be switching to universals at some point. With the kyosho carriers the camber link points are also a lot higher than with a standard front end. I didn't do any math really just projected the camber link up the same height as the difference at the wheel. It will take a driver to see how it performs

I sunk the rear pulley a tad more, you can see it is fairly flush with the plate now. Also test fitted a Protech, just a tad high in the front but not too bad.

Not sure if you're worried about it at all but just a suggestion to lower the body a little more. You could make a small two hole strap that goes into the trans brace holes and remove the case bolt on the top of the trans. Not sure how much you'll actually gain from that but a thought.

It was just a test fit to make sure it wouldn't be rediculously high so far. I was surprised it fit this low

maybe you can mill out the backside of the motor plate to gain some some belt clearance.......
