Nice "find" I have the opposite issue- I know I have the stuff but can't find it! Lol!
Looks like a quick overhaul

I am always trying to learn. I know peroxide is used to whiten but what is the acetone used for?

Acetone will work to brighten parts as well, I now use it for oil stained parts, that Peroxide just can't remove. Just be sure to fully detox your parts after a Peroxide bath, the vapor alone can cause damage to your anno'd parts. I now try to live with yellowed parts, rather then trying to get an unrealistic white.

Yeah peroxide isn't for everyone. I used it once....I'll take a slightly yellowed part over a bright white one. The car I'm working on now has the worlds x style rear arms and they were a bit yellower from the factory. Whitening makes them look incorrect.

I try to stay away from unnecessary chemicals. If I can soap and water it I will. My ultrasonic cleaner does most of the work for me anyway. I use LA's Awesome from the dollar store on more stubborn parts, but it eats aluminum so you have to be careful. Castrol super clean is also great but sounds like you can't get it anymore? I've used the purple super clean and wasn't too impressed but I don't think it was castrol brand

The UV light activates the peroxide. Sunlight is best but a lot of us are lacking sunlight lately!
