Re: Another GT saved
Damn what luck...your looking for a roller bad enough to strip and use parts and they keep sending you "barely used" trucks...
you just cant win,
That was great find....just keep hope alive and eventually you'll score a junker that is a junker.

Re: Another GT saved
Exactly. I look for parts and I keep finding complete trucks too good to part out. While its not perfect and the parts are a little more yellow than I thought they would be. I just can't bring myself to strip them for parts.
Still needed, wheels, tires, linkage kit.

I reckon it's too yellow to keep, so you should offload it to me

The manual doesn't call for it so its unnecessary.

Re: Another GT saved
Next truck in the mail today, what's the chances I get another one that has probably never been ran
besides some fuel residue, some dust, and some anodizing fade. I'm not seeing a single sign this has been driven.

Re: Another GT saved
These barely run early GT's seem to be coming out of the woodwork lately. I grabbed a couple myself, mostly for what came with them, caught a few unicorns over the last couple months!
Nice work on the GT rescue.

Re: Another GT saved
The bodies that came with these three are pretty badly painted and trimmed. But, I really can't complain. I'm still shocked at the overall condition of these three. I only have one original body left. Deciding on a paint job before I ask some one to paint it for me

Re: The GT Rescue
Changed the title of the thread due to the direction it went.
Just got done stickering up the new bodies. Once again Todd-Vintagemishal did an amazing job on all three bodies. I have a couple more decal sheets in the mail but for the most part these are pretty close to finished. Hope you all like them as much as I do.
