Can a cataloge be made on this forum

Post by marlo »

Please don't look at it as a BST thing. My question is based on reference only. Is it possible to create a complete inventory of RC10 parts, and have it then broken down to version, colour, and what cars/trucks that part came from, with a picture, and part description.... something like this
http://www.bricklink.com/catalog.asp
Just putting it out there...

I think something like this would be great, and can only help better this site. It would need to be a team effort though. Different members focusing on their respective parts, which could be assigned to members with specific knowledge on their area of expertise.

there is the one document that is on here, that goes back to before the re-re. Not color, or for trucks, but definitely all part numbers up to worlds car. It's in the scans archive i think....

the re-re's are easy, essentially a mix and match of all the other parts.....with a new bulkhead and stealth case and gear cover.

just found this:

the buggy one:

lots of reggie's pics are gone....sucks....

This wouldn't be too hard I wouldn't think, especially for the early to late 90's cars as everything was broken down in the vehicles parts catalogs. They had which kit they came with (abcd), what kits they fit (abcd), part number, description, quantity in pack and list price.

Pictures of the revisions or updates would be harder though, and recycled numbers like the 7355 T2 shock tower and 7355 10T rear arms would make things interesting.

Also, doesn't AE have a master cataloge/list of all part numbers that is downloadable? I vaguely remember dowloading it at some stage. I think most had links to pictures of the part.

It might be easier to work off that and have members submit info/pics to attach.

Did you open those links? Its basically the catalog of parts that you are talking about.

Yes, those are the catalogs I was referring to, but I think AE also has a master of all parts made which may or may not be useful as it has every part made (overload). I would think it would be easier to use the master though and select say the 3000 - 7000 part numbers and have members add info and pics to those part numbers without pics or lacking info. We could add or remove important/irrelevant parts as needed.

This is just an idea or we can start fresh.

I would love to see that put together. It brought to mind a major stumbling block I ran across in a thread started quite a while back that never came to fruition. It would make such a project a lot easier. :D
