That's a cool idea. I purchased wheel/tires that were cleaned up in acetone and to my surprise the tires were way way smaller than a normal set DS tires. oh and they were hard as hell. they made for for shelf queen tires but the size reduction just took the originality away. i basically kept the wheels and dumped the tires.Coelacanth wrote:You might be able to rescue those tires. Put a small amount of acetone in a margarine or yogurt container, then place the container and your wheels & tires in a plastic bag, then seal the bag. You're not putting them IN the acetone, just beside the container. The acetone fumes should break down the CA cement. Take them out of the bag in 24 hours and see if the tires will pull off the wheels.250r wrote:Tires are good but the glue job is crap.
i have lots of wheels to save and will definitely give this a try.
