Stealth Transmission

Post by Snorman70 »

Is there other associated truck tranny parts that will work/replace the #6585 clutch disk, #6584 outer hub and #6583 clutch hub for the stealth tranny? Anyone even have these replacement parts?

the b2/b3/t3 slipper stuff will work. or you can replace the topshaft in the trans with one for a b4/t4 and use the b4/t4 slipper setup on it.

I have all the parts except those mentioned above. Do you know what the crossover part numbers would be? It has been 20 years since I have rebuilt one of these and I have a few that I want to rebuild. Not as easy as I remember.

Was wondering if you can point me to direction to find hydra drive conversion for RC10T?

The hydra setup is the same between the rc10 & 10t, and they are not the most common parts to find, ebay is the easiest-

Old thread I know but I just got the 9253 slipper clutch for my RC10T stealth refurb (to replace the original 6585 disk) and it's too big. Do I now need the 9251 inner hub and the 9252 outer hub? Also will my current hub bearing work with the new hub? It looks like the shaft is the same - just trying to figure out what I need...

Thanks

Yes on the t3 plates and your shaft is fine. You need a 3/16 x 3/8 bushing for that slipper assy. Same as front wheel bushings.

I saw the bushing part# in the manual...is there a bearing that will work? Or has to be bushing?

Thanks!

No need for the spur, a bearing will fit but is not an upgrade
