Lil' Scr8p's Worlds Car
Well, he's not little anymore, and he'll be 21 in January. But, here is my kid's worlds car. Just about ready to munch on some carpet this winter. Waiting on the servo yet and I gotta spray the body.

The kid's car is finally done. The sensor plug on the new motor was bad so I had to order a new one. Runs good now.

2016. He isn't in to r/c like his old man is..... never was. He did build the car himself. I did install the electronics and that though since brushless stuff is new to me.RC10th wrote:In what year? Why isn't he building his own car?scr8p wrote:he'll be 21 in January

Aside from the father desire to get your kid into something you enjoy, which is a huge deal.......if he isn't inst the hobby, are you hoping he'll come around to it? By 21 we are kinda already stuck in our ways.

Re: Lil' Scr8p's Worlds Car
I've never forced him to do anything. Drums, guitar, real cars, r/c, nothing. If you don't like it on your own, you just don't. He's a product of the gaming/computer generation and that's his thing. Though it does seem to be taking a back seat to other things now. His job, his fiance, his real car.
He's actually always liked r/c, just nowhere near my level. Enough to want a battery charged to run something but not enough to build or maintain them. I stopped racing weekly when he was around 5. Had I continued to do it I'm sure it might have been different. I took him to every race. The r/c bug probably would've set in a long time ago. But he's been having a little more interest in in the last year or two for whatever reason.

Re: Lil' Scr8p's Worlds Car
I reckon our generation had it best growing up. Where we actually rang Johhny's house to see if we could come over, or knock on the door to see if Johnny could come out. We had a good care free way of life, cool toys, rode bikes everywhere, played football in the street etc. We'd get a smack or two occasionally and also had respect.
Now
Not that it's all bad but I wouldn't want to grow up as a kid in todays world.
Now

I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !
