losi mip trans lb 1000 2000
well i have a wanted list on the gears for this trans and bought the center gear off ebay for $15. was tring to build this on the cheap, THAN i tried the stock gears out of a rc10 stealth just for the hell of it and well....... guess what they all fit!!! had to use smaller bearings but the gears fit fine. the diff gear not 100% sure yet till i get the mip losi outdrives. also havent tried to see if the stock stealth slipper assembly will work yet. so what do u guys think??

I have not counted, but side by side comparison shows a larger bearing in the center and the ratio is 2.3:1 compared to the Stealth @ 2.25:1

That is the best vintage tranny ever according to me. I had the chance to build a new one and I've never felt such a silky smooth diff on anything else. I don't think you could build it "cheap" and spare parts are quite difficult to find. That trans hasn't been produced in large numbers I believe. I would be interested in the yellow housing should you consider parting with it

all done. so from a empty case i had laying around to a complete trans. used all gears from the stealth only used different bearings they were smaller than the stealth for the gears. the top shaft i had its a losi/associated hydra setup.

I really like the look of the out drives . Very nice. First time I've seen one of these.
