Re: rc12 differences
Biggest difference is the 12i has a one piece chassis and the 12L has a separate T plate and pod
12i also has an upper deck

Re: rc12 differences
There are a lot of versions of the 12i. Pics would help but basically first gen has no front springs, second gen has front springs, and third gen has a large mono shock up front. There were more versions but that narrows it a bit for you

Re: rc12 differences
4-post radio plate RC12i probably a later model, looks complete new bumper can be replicated. the original body is a good score with box in my book. pick it up for a good price, 12s are the next thing on the trending list

Re: rc12 differences
Mid style production but the chassis is drilled for the late mono shock front end, so it was a late production car. Hope that makes sense

My typical procedure when I get a used vehicle is to completely tear it down for a good cleaning, and then rebuild, so hopefully I'll get it right...

Re: rc12 differences
Not to picky, but the last fiberglass car pictured above is a RC12LW. The cross brace ahead of the rear pod and the addition of the shock were the main differences The chassis is also different. I believe this was the last 1/12 scale car Associated offered in fiberglass version. After this, they are have carbon fiber chassis. A nice collection BTW.
