When this first got posted, I was hesitant to respond thinking maybe it was just rumor mill. But this is real, and the best news ever for those who like the K cars. I can't wait to drop that slipper, 48p gears, and the sealed fluid diff into my Ultima. Your stealth equipped rc10 doesn't have crap on my Ultima now... So what do I do with that stealth I bought to put into my other ultima?....I guess I get to build another RC10 too.

Oh, and with the resources that went into those upgrades, I wouldn't bet against an Ultima rere in some form at least.

You could sell me the stealth. I need one for my re re rc10
I missed the part about the diff being fluid filled (sealed). That's great news

I think the trans is going to have a better (lower) FDR too. Notice that the top gear is 32 teeth. The old trans was 19 /37 on the box, which would equal (roughly) 29/55 in 48p. So, a 32t top gear would be a 52t diff gear ... 1.625 internal compared to the old 1.95. I cannot count the teeth on the external side to figure the final ratio.

Bigger shocks, better transmission, chain and belt drives. It all sounds very promising. I hope they've done something to improve the front bumper brace that would always bend and snap after a couple hits.

I see the alloy OT-16 front knuckle arm has returned.
Going by the pic it appears to be cast and not machined.
Can't they release these already!

There's no pics of the axles *without* the aluminum hex on there. I do see a set screw, so I'm REALLY hoping these aren't those press fit pieces of garbage.

Me neither. While the concept seems sucky, look at any professional drill press- the spindle to chuck is the same taper fit
