Just wanted to share this one again with you guys. I had long lost pictures of the car and as I paid a visit to the attic I thought I would quickly snap some pictures. The car was used for racing by a fellow Belgian racer. He also gave me this incredibly rare Brian Kinwald Reedy motor that was only offered to sponsored racers just before Brian signed with Losi. The motor was never available publicly and production stopped.
The car has been somewhat modified but was originally bought as a Team Car Graphite kit with the elusive “coffin shaped” or sometimes refers to as “Worlds” Graphite chassis. Love the paint job on this Viper too!

Some of the late graphite team car kits came with that chassis instead of the standard one with the AE logo milled in it. Just a running changing.
So this chassis looks like the lower deck from a Composite Craft '91 "worlds" conversion chassis set. Is there any connection between the two? Just curious. Did CC grind these out for AE?

While they look a bit similar they’re actually very different. The CC double deck has a narrow front and rear end and is larger on the sides. To my knowledge CC never made any woven carbon parts. This chassis was definitely produced by AE and some members here have it NIP with an AE tag. It was also assumed at some point that this chassis design was foreseen for the B2 production, which was in the pipeline when these late Graphite Team Cars were produced.

What are these tires? I love the looks of them! Old-school, but seemingly 2.2", i.e. perfect for JC wheels!
Also, looks like you nailed the perfect servo mounts, too... where are they from, please?
Thanks!
Paul

Thanks for the compliments Paul. Servo mounts are Kyosho (to please Jason), front tires are Yokomo/Hot Laps TF-260 and rear tires are also Hot Laps TR-380

Do you notice any handling differences between the RC10 graphite team car and the RC10 team car with tub chassis (both fitted with white nylon parts throughout)?
I haven't driven either yet. Been a while...greetings all :)

I would say the tub chassis has more flex and probably a lot bigger sweet spot for setup
Could you guys tell me the differences between a regular RC10 Graphite and a RC10 Graphite Team car besides the obvious...teflon shocks and stealth tranny? thanks in advance!

Thanks guys I found exactly what I needed thanks to you guys. I appreciate it.
I finally found a pretty good Graphite Team Car. I had been looking for one for very long long time so I just couldn’t let this one slip through my fingers. As there is really nothing to rebuild I will take time with the build and yes, I will also...

Hey, everyone. How's it going? I am new to the site and I just got back into using my RC10 Graphite Team Car after about 10+ years. I just rebuilt the whole car and it is in great shape. However, there are some problems I am having with the car....

The shaft and nut move in/out and up/down very slightly. I think this might be causing the spur gear to wobble. Are these normal tolerances? Or should the shaft not move at all? I'm thinking of putting in a new drive gear and shaft to see if it goes...
Owned this car since NIB, gold shocks came with it, called AE twice & they sent me the correct
shocks, all original parts except those missing. I really had a lot of fun restoring this car over the past couple of days, reminded me of when I was 15...

I have the same car, just got it at a garage sale. It has the gold shocks. I think it is an 89 model. On mine however the original owner dyed the parts orange..
New guy here and excited to get back into RC with my kids. I’m in my 40’s so these buggies were my first love. I’d watch my neighbor for hours jumping his RC10 on the sidewalk. My parents got me a first gen Ultima. Loved it. Lol....

I found some of the extra parts that came with the car. The round indentations behind the Tekin is a dead giveaway.
Best things I see are the ESC and cover. Motors look beat.
