Building Brian’s B1M conversion kit. Which arrived superfast from the States maybe be the 1st in the Uk ?. first thing I will say it’s not a shelf Queen . So its not spotless it gets raced . I mess about and change set ups a fair bit . Car for the conversion is a worlds rere , and now has a carbon works chassis .
1st job strip the gearbox of my worlds and take everything of the back , diff didn’t feel fantastic so that was stripped and rebuilt . New gearbox was then Prepared as Brian excellent instructions . Which is a must read , when building . I used the end of the plastic associated tool to help push the bearings home . As not to damage anything .
Going together great .can see the tool I used to help push in the bearings on the right . That bottle of tri flow oil is 30 years old ! Still great stuff . Each bearing had a drop
Next gearbox half’s come together , there’s a small gap when you screw the two half’s down the Center . But once the motor plate is fitted that was gone .Made sure not to go to tight on the 4 gearbox screws
Rear dampers are Kyosho RB6 big bore 30w oil .front Standerd Worlds dampers 32w . Esc is going to be a hobbywing 120A . Steering jconcepts , futaba bls551 mini servo . Motor LRP 7 .5 x20 which is great as long as you can keep the front wheels on the deck lipo team orian 110c 5000 .
I'm going to build Conklin Performance Design's Mid Motor Conversion for the RC10. I'm using mostly World's re-release parts, some of my custom parts, and stuff from lots of other manufacturers.
Okay, I have project ADHD (as most of you most likely do  )! RIght now I'm working on releasing the B1M, starting the Ten4.1, looking at making a graphite version of the B1M (have yet to start a thread on that one... coming soon), and now I'm...

Brian, you should consider machining the shafting out of tool steel in an annealed condition, w1 or o1 machines nicely and holds it's tolerance if you decide to temper it.
EDIT: I've decided to go with B1M as the official name for this car/kit. Yes, I had an earlier MM car that was a one-off that I called the B1M, but just think of that one as a very early prototype for this one
Some of you may remember my mid...

I would take a scan of it! At least it would give me hope that I could bring that to someone who could possibly machine it for me in the future. :)
Donor RC10 (stealth or 6 gear chassis are both okay)
Complete set of Stealth transmission gears and bearings
Original Stealth Slipper or V2 slipper
Extra idler gear and bearings

Putting the bulkhead and transmission in the chassis
I highly recommend you tap all holes that will be threaded. I can't guarantee the screws will self tap into the printed Nylon they way they do in molded parts. For the bulkhead, the 4 holes where...
I saw a chassis on ebay a while back with these strips cut out and thought it looked pretty cool. Form over function as I knew the chassis would be far less rigid. I took a beat chassis and started to work on a prototype mid motor. Oh well, here...

Because your rear wheel will lean outwards when the suspension is compressed.
This will give you very little grip in the rear during cornering.
Terry SC was friendly enough to point out a similar problem with the front links on one of my own...
Just sharing a project I recently worked on, my simple take on a mid-motor RC10.

Like most of you, I was excited when AE re-released the Worlds car and a couple of buddies and I bought them with the intention to race them...

That thing looks great! Nice driving as well! Hope the 3D parts last for you.
Thanks, I'm a 3D printing newbie so I'm learning as I go along... the way the part is designed and printed makes a difference to the way it handles stress. Version 1 of...
