What's funny is, they did this on a Ni-XX based energy source, it seems... then again Duracell doesn't cell, er, sorry, sell Lipos
I suspect there's a way to do a LOT more mileage with a LOT less heavy car... but, hey, they planned it and they executed it, so more power (pun intended) to them!

I was thinking the same thing. I'd bet a standard 2s lipo in a 10th scale car could hit about 1/6 of this distance.
Well done Duracell but there has to be an easier way.
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
I feel like I get behind some one like this at least once a day...
But it was cool. I'm thinkin the car got quite the workout on that run and agree with romulus22 that it was good to see it on real time roads instead of those test tracks type setup

Ok, so who's gonna be the first to sue Duracell for endangering the public for unsafe operation or start a facebook hashtag movement over using a non renewable energy source ?

Traxxas will certainly sue them for something. Maybe infringement on Traxxas' patent for battery layout, or something.

Hello folks, I am getting back into the hobby and would like to get some of my older cars and trucks working again. I would like to build my own packs but don't know who makes a quality sub c cell anymore ( does anyone?)
Anyone know any secrets? I got a couple of old Tenergy packs that seemed to take a charge fine, but ran like they were dead. They might be shot, but before writing them off I figured I'd ask around. I figured I would try cycling them a couple of...

Thanks for the tips all. I have plenty of batteries, mostly Lipo and Nicad. I only have about 3 working nimh packs. I got a couple of extra nimh packs in an ebay purchase. I obviously know why they were thrown in extra. No biggie if they work...
