I think I may be missing something in what you want to accomplish, but I have just always plugged the balance charging lead from the battery directly into the voltage checker/alarm. That way it should tell you the voltage of the entire pack, as well as individual cells. Therefore allowing the unit to go into alarm if only one cell is at the cutoff voltage point. No wiring, no soldering.

I'm the one that's probably causing the confusion, never having done this before.

I'm thinking (yep, again )that the third wire on the pigtail would go to the small balance connector on the lipo battery?

That connector you posted has three wires one is an earth, black wire on a LiPo.

The blue wire is the positive for one cell, the red wire is the positive for another cell = 2 cell LiPo.

The LiPo alarm plugs into the JST-XH connector on the battery and monitors both cells making sure they do not

discharge below the set limit.

The only thing to remember when plugging in the LiPo alarm is negative symbol on the back sticker goes to the black

wire on the JST-XH connector, the first wire.

When you plug the Li-Po alarm into your battery you will get,

3 readouts, 1st total battery voltage, 2nd voltage for first cell, 3rd voltage for second cell.

while this is happening press small button on Li-Po alarm, every press will change the low voltage alarm preset,

between, off, 2.7volt - 3.8 volt, showing on the LED display.

I set mine to 3.4 volt per cell, fine for running in front of my house.

The lower you set the cutoff voltage the less charging cycles you will get.

Yes Matt, that's what I was attempting to explain, or build from scratch. I have something like that already, but only one and it goes to my charger. Thanks for bringing it to the top of my list!

You and me both, Matt! I'm famous for having an idea, kind of solving it, only to rush buying the stuff to do it. Then, finding out I ordered the wrong thing. I think that makes sense.

I made a small step with the wiring this morning by doing the connectors to the motor with Deans "Power Plug". I didn't want to shorten the original Novak ESC wires so kept them original length. I matched to speed control yellow and blue wires by installing some Novak "Super Flex" ets. wire on the AE Off Road Stock motor.

The Lipo alarm works perfectly! I'm going to install it directly to the battery, using the balance plug too. I had to halt the soldering because I don't have any 4mm battery bullets. I order some at 0548hrs this morning!

After almost a year searching for the JConcepts rear tires I now have a complete front and rear set of rims and tires.

Now I don't know if I'll actually use them!

Anyway, my electronics always get moved from car to car so I'm always reluctant to trim wires. This can make it a challenge to find space to coil the wires and make everything look tidy.
Why were the JConcepts tires so hard to find - were they discontinued?

The rims I got, probably a year ago when they were on sale for 6 bucks a pair on the JConcepts website, then they went discontinued right afterwards. Before I could get the tire, they went the same way. I kept watching on Amain for the tires. The rips (fronts) just came in stock last month so I grabbed them. The rears came and went the same day, I missed catching them in stock. Then, this month I got a notification in the middle of the night on my phone. I jumped on them

I barely made it thru getting the last of my soldering done. All out of the good Novak solder. Next, get a Futaba receiver and get things finished up!
