I've been smoothing the joints on the cage for awhile and it's time for a break. This morning I machine the aluminum pieces for the spare wheel to mount to the rear. They came out good. I rummaged in my wizzo box and came up with the top thump screw.
Pics as it stands. Time to think on some electronics...
I got the drill and tap for 5-40 on Saturday, straight to it, no messing around.
Awhile back, I got these "spinners" from eBay/DHAWK. Nice man, very nice but intended for the Classic front axle thread size so I 5-40'd them to use on the World's axles.
Alrighty now, the "Tuber" is pretty much done, with the exception of a rear wing. I need to think on that for awhile, gather some wing buttons and a wing, machine some cool parts for the attachment to the wire from the Factory Works wing things.
On to a few pics!
I'm more than satisfied with the build. One thing I will say, filing on the cage joints was getting "old" at the end.
My thanks go out to Jeff/Factory Works for making the C2 "Tuber" happen!

Looks nice, Nomad. Yes, that wing will be tricky to mount but I have confidence you'll find a clever solution.
Well done!!
Thank you, brother
I have a brain spurt about it, came about at lunch today. a pivot with position locking screws for wing angle. I draw it for ya.
This is a build for a customer, I'm still finishing it. I have to say, as much as I hate Carbon Fiber, it sure looks nice!

Hey, that's right! I found a good photo online that has very little perspective, laid my six-hole directly on my laptop screen over the photo and resized the photo until their sizes match and the holes you mentioned line-up perfectly. Now, I can...
Hey Nomad, did you drill the chassis yet? I have a set of 180* Delrin bellcranks that i just cut out, I’ll send you a pair if you want to try them since you already have the posts, rack and bearings. Just let me know.
I got the bellcranks from...

That seems like a good method. Your eyeball must be calibrated 'cause you appear to have nailed the shock cutout perfectly. Well done Nomad!! :D
I couldn't pass up one of these new Factory Works chassis kits. It is very similar to the ultra rare vintage Composite Craft Worlds RC10T chassis, however it uses the stock aluminum front end. The material finish is very similar to the original, and...
Im a long time RC10 fan and actually lived only a few blocks from the original Edinger location back in the early 80's. I spent allot of time in that old shop and even owned some of the very first RC10's. Im still running them and have built my...

Just did a google search and the link to this thread popped up. Awesome looking SRB... I always love seeing these well-executed custom jobs. I can't wait til Mike Dealer releases his chassis. What sort of paint did you use on the frame? Is it...

Very cool, read both threads !
I wonder if they both had the MIP battery pads ? I've got a black one like that still in my trx.
I figured I would start a build thread on my 4-10 Legend 4wd RC10. Any questions or comments are welcomed. I have not done a build thread on here, so here goes nothing. This will not be a 100% correct restoration due to parts being very difficult to...
