Body cut out and Paint Help please
Body cut out and Paint Help please
Going to do a new body for my son's RC10 Kit #6011 I Gave him for Christmas in 1993. I had a Sidewinder body #6161 I had purchased as I did a really bad job on the orig body. I have Air Brush experience in painting RC Boats but not Lexan. I need a pair of scissors to cut the body and I would like recommendations for Scissors and a ream for the holes. Also what paints work well best Blocks. I may also get a lego man head for the drivers head. Get someone to enlarge a lego head and print it out for me.

There are also Duplo heads that are basically huge lego pieces for toddlers, that scale Lego head may work best

I stopped using scissors a long time ago. I score it with a hobby knife then bend and snap.
I use an angled dremel bit to enlarge the body mount hole

I don't know if you've already got paint for this, but Proline now has a paint for PC bodies that can be used with an airbrush.

In addition to the Pro-Line suggestion, there are many choices for airbrush paint for Lexan bodies, including Parma's FasKolor series, Spaz Stix, Createx, AutoAir...and probably more. The water-based ones are nice to use, no fumes and easy clean-up with only water. You can paint inside your home without the place reeking for a week.
