Rear arm widths or vintage Quadra Sym-ish
Hey everyone,
I currently have 3 Rc10 runners:
Buggy, narrowed tub chassis (Rpm kit) in the rear, truck nose, wide RPM Arm front and rear
Graphite chassis with truck nose (previous owner hacked chassis) wide RPM arms all around -> original width rear chassis. Reversed stealth for mid motor.

I really like the width in the rear of the graphite. I’m considering making a custom aluminum chassis with the RPM mod.
Are the rear B3 / B2arms wider than the wide rpm / Klein Arms? I would like to narrow the chassis and compensate with wider arms.
I will have to make pictures later

Since I have too many ideas in my head, and too little time to actually build them here is what I have been thinking about:
The second RC10 I bought (my first eBay RC10 purchase), was a black pan, stealth transmission car, with the RPM narrow conversion setup. This must have been 1999 ish.
The rear cutout was poorly executed, but drivable.
Anyway I like the narrow rear, but I also like the wider setup (normal chassis with wider arms RPM / Klein) and want to build the following:
Narrow rear chassis (RPM mod) with even wider arms (truck conversion / B3 ?) try to make the best of both worlds
custom narrowed nose plate and bulkhead to match the rear to make it match the rear to have all the hinges on the body side aligned aka Quadra symmetric
try to match the front arms as close as possible to the rear setup.
perhaps flip the tranny and rear around for a mid-motor setup.
Info I have on rear arm widths hole to hole:
wide RPM / Klein: 64mm
RC10T: 84mm
Monster Truck conversion: 74ish (?) that would be a perfect fit, just need to find a pair.
B3 arms: ???
Matching front arms:
So far I found the front Bandit (1995) arms to be pretty close, approx 71-72mm
Drive train: I will start with a dogbone setup and then see what universal langth migh work out.
I want to keep the parts as much associated as possible, so we'll see.
I want to start off only using parts or repros of parts the were available somewhat back in the day. Kind of what would have been possible back then without making a whole new car.
So I am picking up NIX' general idea, but I want to avoid making parts that were simply not available back then or not producible on a hobby level. You could cut a bulkhead or nose plate back then.
I have nothing bot respect and admiration for the NIX' builds, but I often read the comment "how much RC10 is actually left?"
Since modding an RC10 was basically there from the beginning I want to see what I can put together.
