Recently picked up a Trinity Monster Horse Power motor and wanted to check its not a fake label, I remember on this forum a few years back that there was a number of fake motor labels doing the rounds.
Everything looks legit on the motor, but the decal looks kinda grainy, with lines in it and white showing through, like a cheap print job. What do you guys think?

You want to know if a pink label motor is legit or if your label is legit?
If the label itself is an OG. I'm 99% sure the motor is legit, it has the trinity can and endbell but the label looks sketchy compared to images I've seen on the interwebs.

i would get a new label from MCI and call it a day
If it was a 2nd hand motor then I would but this was bought as BNIB from a seller so its mint, I also paid $200 for it so I want to make sure its not a knock off.

I don't know about the white showing through, but those visible horizontal lines in the black look kinda dodgy to me. It looks printed to me.
I thought the same thing.. the horizontal lines in the black looks like something printed in draft or a low quality setting.
Mine exhibits the same lines on the black lettering. I think yours may be legit. My pink label Trinity came from a very old lot of forgotten boneyard motors and I have no doubt about its authenticity. Zoom in and you can see the lines.
