Re: Le Mans motor collection.
Hey guys, just a quick question regarding 240ST motors, I have two and at least one has burnt out, possibly both (don't know exactly what happened to it) is it possible or even feasible to repair it to be used again?

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
There's one issue with some of the cheaper Le Mans motors that don't have adjustable end-bells...without prying up the tabs on both sides of the can to pull off the end-bell, rebuildability is limited. Even if you pry up the tabs and rebuild one, then replace the end-bell/push the tabs back in, it might not run as well as it used to. I did this with a similar 360ST and the results weren't amazing.
If you don't pry the tabs to remove the end-bell and comm, restoring the motor will be limited to making sure the wiring & soldering on the end-bell is intact.

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
The 360E has been cleaned up and a new sticker from MCI has been added. The final piece is in place. I can finally call this collection complete.

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
480T every time. It might be one of the slower Le Mans motors but it's my favourite colour. Plus you can slip in a 240S armature and go a lot faster.
