Short version of RC10T style bellcranks ??

Post by MarkyDents »

I’ve never seen these before, went back through the 25 year thread. Don’t see them there. This is a very late all black parts, “worlds” if you will team graphite.

Those were used on the RC10GT, T2, and Dual Sport. The Z bent wire is not used on that setup, you would use ball joints.

Oh okay right I see now, could it be possible they would have come with this car considering how late of a vehicle is ?

Very possible, it kind of depends on the rest of the car. It's always possible that the owner swapped them out after breaking them. You would have to verify a few samples I would think or know it came out of the box that way.

I’m thinking they may not have considered the correct hardware for the servo saver to function is not present.

Definitely not a factory 6036 part. You can find the correct one on eBay though.

Yes after considering it further there’s no way the correct hardware could be used in a graphite chassis.
Luckily I do have the original design bellcranks in black new in the package to work with. Just needed the correct car for them.

They "can" be used on the graphite chassis. You would need some low profile 8-32 nuts.

Oh very cool idea, you think enough threads would make it through the graphite chassis being as thick as it is for a nut to grab ?
To be honest I’m looking for this car to be box stock original so I’m probably going to install the older design bellcranks but that’s a very interesting idea.

I think it would work.

I used Worlds bellcranks on my graphite car but it isn't remotely close to an original car.

I do use that setup on one of my runner cars. Other than being a little bulky, I like it. Even without bearings, it is plenty smooth.

Very cool, good to know. Thanks for taking the time to include that pic as well. I’m almost a little embarrassed to admit the fact that I have a GT, a T2, and a DS considering I said I’ve never seen the bellcranks before

As a late all black car, it would have the black stock looking bellcranks, which are probably a little hard to find. For some reason, the thought of a really late c stamp gold tub with all black parts on it keeps popping up in my head.

I just opened a set for my Team Car. I've had them sitting around for years and never used them.
