Sad news to share...Daryl Lane has passed away...
Sad news to share with the community, Daryl Lane passed away Monday morning following a long health battle. He was the original partner in A&L with Chris Alec and later owner of Factory Works. Daryl was an OG in R/C racing and a mad scientist responsible for many innovative products. He was also one of my best, dearest and kindest friends and will forever be missed...race in peace my friend...

I tried reaching out on his birthday and never got a reply. RIP Daryl, I will try to carry on your Factory Works legacy to my best ability.

Aside from the excellent products, I also enjoyed Daryl's sense of humor in my very limited number of interactions with the man. One of The Originals for sure.
RIP

Hope you're doin' something fun.

Yeah.... it's been a rough week.
Never met in person, but had a few phone calls with Daryl over the years and he seemed like a really good guy. Even talked about me buying Factory Works when he was talking about selling the business. But we all know the right guy has taken it over.
RIP Daryl

RIP. Years ago he really helped me out on something. I am sad to say that I can't recall what it was, but was a great guy.

RIP Daryl!
Having the opportunity to buy several kits from you in person, which I enjoyed so much as a kid in the 1980s was such an honor.
