That looks like a straight wire was being used in place of the front sway bar, which would have had ball cup connections to the front arms.
its kinda cool, if you cycle the suspension it is difficult to bottom the nose out, it starts limiting about half inch from bottoming out.

Your rear wheel options probably are:

1. Get 3/16" rear stub axles and flanged bearings. Axles aren't readily available.
2. Get Custom Works Short CVD kit and again 3/16" flanged bearings. Right now most places appear to be out of stock on the Short CVD kit
3. Get 12mm hex adapters and hex rear wheels
4. Get 1/4" rear wheels. Need to consider the rim size preferred (1.6", 1.9", 2", 2.2")
5. Get additional tires for your original wheels
If the stock pieces are in good order just order a set of the proper 1/4" wheels. I went to 3/16"
using the t4 rear axles and then with the custom works short cvd's. Unless you plan on having a specific set of wheels or really want to get a lot of different wheels and tires it's going to be easiest.

If the old axles aren't in good order get the custom works kit since it is a currently available part. If something goes wrong you can order parts with no fuss.

I wasnt seeing alot for 1/4 wheels and or tires. the Jconcepts 2.2 rc10 wheels are easy to find right now, and they are 3/16, and fit standard tires. I would love to find some cvds, but I dont see any in stock.

I think for now, Im going to try and locate some 3/16 cvds and use the jconcepts 2.2 reto wheels. that way I can keep my 1/4 drives and swap back to og when and if I want. Good to see that option though, thanks for imput!

That is what I did and it works just fine. Once you go to 3/16" axles you can also get the 12mm hex adapter and that open up being able to go to any hobby shop and pick up wheels.

Ok, shifted plans a little, I resourced a B stamp that has stealth trans holes in the chassis. My build will consists of a B stamp chassis, Gt front end, Stealth trans in the back, Jconcepts steering rack, Klein wide suspension arms. Some things will change as I go Im sure but for now Im getting ready for a re-anno.

So a quesiton to the vets, top load or bottom load shocks? Which will I be happier with? I have top load Gt shocks (with plastic caps). I want to use the truck size shocks, but do I hold out for bottom load shocks? Asking because I need all of these parts anodized in one shot, and dont want "regerts". As you can tell this is not a historical museum build, but a user/shelfer.
