Got a couple Team Orion SV2 (round, angle brush) motors. I just bought them because they are different and they were cheap.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

price gets even better while they still have the 20% off code on their site. that alone took nearly $40 off.BattleTrak wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 11:03 pmThat’s nice! I could really use one of those and the price isn’t too bad either.LowClassCC wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 5:55 pm Turtle Labs workstation arrived today.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Got a couple packages today.
One was an A stamp that someone had converted to a truck with B2 front arms. Other than the bellcranks and some scratches on the bottom, it's in fairly decent condition.
Got two Magnum Sport transmitters, one with a manual.
Some Novak esc's and a receiver. The T1 actually surprised me with it's weight.
And some more motors and standard servos. Other than the one, the servos hardly look used.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
It didn't come in the post per se, but I got my original Top Cat back.
It is pretty rough and has gained a few speed holes in the chassis in the 28 or so years since I saw it last. I will rebuild it and run it, preserving what I can. I have a boat load of re-re TC and Cougar parts for that which cannot be saved. I haven't decided if I will replace the chassis, but I am leaning towards keeping the original. The motor plate is warped, but I should be able to hammer it flat, or flat enough.
I do remember using Associated springs (springs and cups on the front) , but I have no recollection of the fiberglass rear shock mount. Tee entire front end is intact apart from the crashback bands, so absolute worst case I clean it up and stick it on a re-re Cougar.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
In addition to selling my Top Cat back to me for the very reasonable price of $0.00 (that is the equivalent to 0 pounds for you Englishmen)
, my buddy threw in a lightly used Storm 2000. From what I can tell, the front end was just removed to get the servo out, presumably to go in another car. We used to do that back in the day, pilfer one car to run another vs just buying 50 of everything like we do today. Seems we had less money available 30 years ago.
I never had a Storm 2000, but this is one cool truck! I actually raced against this exact one with an RC10T. Neither one of us could drive worth a crap, so I don't know who "won".
"Restoration" will involve replacing about 6 screws to reattach the front end, sourcing wheels, and painting a body.
The fun doesn't stop there. In addition to getting MY Top Cat back with the practically new Storm 2000 thrown in for good measure, the Storm has a Novak T1X! I believe this ESC was in the Top Cat when I sold it to him.
I don't remember the green battery plug. I thought I had the orange one (from Race Prep?).

If you need someone to hold onto that Top Cat while you concentrate on the Storm, I will volunteer to help you out.

What are those HPI wheels going on? I recently discovered that those have a ton of offset if used on a 10T, and HPI offers a specific set for the 10T.

Good! I need a nice BE build to get my off my butt to work on mine!

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Just arrived this afternoon, it'll end up as a Blue Eagle LS.
And some more B4/T4 sway bars.
