Ugh! The wire would be easy but the caps that go on the wing is the problem

The best bet is to buy a vintage used wing on eBay that has wing buttons already in them...that's what I did

Any wire type wing buttons will work. They were common to lots of 80's and 90's cars. The Bandit style is somewhat similar in design to the originals.
There are several types of originals and 3D printed ones on Ebay. JConcepts also makes some nice ones.

Here is a set on a RC10.
The wing wire won't fit through with much more than a 45° bend in it. So you have to mount the wing and then finish bending the wire.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
