HPI Super Star question
These are listed as "for JRX2". Does anyone know did HPI make wheels for specific applications or are these "universal" if using the HPI bearing/wheel adapter set(s)? If I track down the adapters, could I slam these on a TRX series buggy?
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Re: HPI Super Star question
My TRX-1 came with HPI wheels. The TRX-1 metric bearings are much bigger than the JRX2 front bearings. To adapt the JRX2 front wheels, the bearings would need a 9.5mm outer diameter (perfect wheel fit) or smaller (bearing adapter needed). The 11mm bearing is way too big. I see 5x9x3mm bearings on Amazon. Those could fit with a thin adapter.
The TRX-1 wheel is 10mm between the sides of the bearings, and the JRX2 wheel is wider at about 11.6mm, so the JRX2 wheel needs longer front axles.

Re: HPI Super Star question
Yes, the HPI Super Stars are typically universal and come with bearing adapters for different vehicles. HPI #6115

Re: HPI Super Star question
Thanks Gentlemen. I picked those up and an adapter set. Almost positive I'll need the "Tamiya" bearing collar. My plan is to Easy Off the chrome and dye them black. We shall see....
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Re: HPI Super Star question
Soak them in a strong degreaser, chrome will come off.
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.
