Re: Trackmaster transmission
The hole sizes I had were the measurements from my original Trackmaster side plates. The bearings were really tight in them too but I kept their sizes to try out. They really did need to be opened up a little though.

Re: Trackmaster transmission
Yeah I'm always a fan of making the holes smaller and sneaking up on it on my own stuff. Customers just don't like it much haha
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Trackmaster transmission
Hardened steel Factory Works outdrives drilled to size with a carbide drill bit and installed. It's nice to have this transmission complete.

Re: Trackmaster transmission
Probably too high of RPM and I eased it through in small increments on my drill press.TRX-1-3 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 12:51 amWhat kinda speed and pressure did you run that drill bit at?Frankentruck wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 11:39 pm Hardened steel Factory Works outdrives drilled to size with a carbide drill bit and installed.
