You will need a custom tower for buggy shocks. The printed template is for cutting your own for .71 shocks. GoMachV sells .71 or .89 custom towers pre-made.

Lately I've been looking at my OIN build that I did many years ago and realized it's been a long time since it's gotten any attention. I think the thing to do is make it into a quadra-symmetrical RC10 so if I ever do make it to a VONATS than I can have a backup if the NIX91 breaks.

QUESTION: Can you use the first 3 holes in the nose plate (short wheel base) or do you use the last 3 holes (long wheel base) to achieve the correct symmetry? I think I already know, but don't want to buy another nose plate lol.

I used "long wheelbase" holes for tub mounting and "short wheelbase" holes for bellcranks.

Thanks for the compliments! Niki, looks like I'll need a new nose plate and tunes if I want to do this right. It's going to be a while anyway, this is just something I'm brainstorming to keep this build alive.

Hey guys, take it easy on me, this is my first post. In cleaning out my parents house for their move, I rediscovered my RC10T from my childhood. I've always wanted a buggy and this RC10T seems like the perfect host for the Quadra-Symmetric conversion. I'm still undecided about towers as I have truck suspension. Would a RC Carbon Works CW-119 tower be compatible with the arm kit? Should I run an RC10T rear tower or convert to a World's tower? Am I also correct to assume that the conversion uses the 9755 CVA axles with the 9672's and the 7358 rear carrier? Would it be wise to convert to one of the NIX rear carriers to run hex wheels without an adapter? Thanks!

If you need to proper Nix towers, I cut them. I can do carbon if that is what your after. G10 (natural or black color) is just a lot more forgiving.

The 119 tower you mentioned is for .89 shocks, where the quadra was set up for .71 worlds fronts. If you are going to run the longer .89’s that tower should work. Mine also come in all the lengths, including one that would reuse your 1.02 truck fronts (basically a RPM tower)

GoMachV and Niki, thank you both! My 10T is currently on the original gold truck dampers. I considered reusing the dampers, but ideally, I think I should source a set of SAE sized V2's while I can. Niki/GoMachV, can the kit be adapted to metric V2 B4 dampers to help future proof the kit? The 7364 hubs seem difficult to source currently, I'm not sure if they are just on back-order or completely discontinued. I will need new bearings and guts anyway since I'm still on Oilites, maybe it would be better to convert to your NIX63651? V2 arms are on order! I fudged a bit and bought a set of V1's before realizing my mistake and re-ordering V2's in MJF. i.materialise processes orders fast. It looks like there will be a reduced-cost V1 conversion up for sale/trade in time for the holiday's. It's a bit overwhelming to jump back in after a 20 year hiatus! Thanks for designing this conversion kit...it's less about the cost to me and all about the nostalgia of my childhood.

I can make the towers for any size shocks, but the original spec is for the front .71 v2 shocks from the rere worlds car.

Towerhobbies says "Late Nov" for #7364 hubs. It's easier to work with original hubs (if available). SLS or MJF hub bearing housing most likely needs finetuning. It can be done but personally I don't like it. Sometimes there just is no option.
