I am using RPM front arms intended for a Traxxas bullet, they are very similar to the Andy's arms but they are a bit longer. I really like the shape of the arms so I will see how they work out.
Hey Miguel,

I have been eye-balling those same arms for use on an ultima. I'm mainly interested in the rear ones but the fronts look cool too.
Do you happen to have a set of rears to take some dimensions? For the front ones also: I'd like to know the dimensions at the bulkhead side. Could you measure them up quickly? It looks like it 's too narrow for the ultima front bulkhead and I don't want to buy more stuff I can't use.

Thanks in advance, erik

Turning out very nice! I had a NIP A&L Ultima chassis that I sold a few years ago. Wish I didn't sell it and the A&L transmission. :( Don't see too many Ultima or RC10 A&L chassis anymore.

Quick update, I am looking for a black bulkhead for this guy the one I have is an older version for the white original RC10 and I don't what to cut it for this.

The RPM Taxxas Bullet arms work very well. They have a bit of rub with the chassis on the rear side but nothing is binding and I like the look but I will wait for my final comments on the arms when it is all done.

Update,
I am using a temporary rear bulkhead until I get a new one to add to this project,
I am also waiting to get a new set of yellow front wheels. I will also eventually like to change the rear CVD's with some universal drives.

Now, what body to use. I am going to look at the ones I have but I am open to suggestions.

Yep, I allways run short on servo mounts while scratchbuilding.
For a body... a Tamiya astute is what comes up in my mind looking at the chassis shape

That wing mount looks great on the shock tower as well. Great assembly.

Not familar with this chassis but interesting rear set up on this. Didn't the older Losi's have a similar set up? Is there a benefit to this compared to the current rear arm setups? Sorry to hack your thread, but just looks sweet and has me wondering.

You will have to search the forum for more info on this but the trailing arm conversion was popular back then for a smoother ride on the harsh terrains of the off road tracks of the days.

There where several manufacturers that made this type of conversions for the RC10 and Ultima.

Thanks for the comments.
