Re: Another RC10T *finally received*
can you post a clear shot of the front hub carriers with the wheels off?
The fornt end looks like it is all from an Ultima, complete with kyosho gold shocks. Nothing on the front looks like AE aside from the wheels.

There you go...

YOu can see in the pictures that the metal part of the front spindle doen't fit there...it's all loose...
Andy's inscription on the arm...

Re: Another RC10T *finally received*
And you're going to build what out of that? Do you need a tub chassis and noseplate to build a truck? Or arms and such to build a buggy? That graphite chassis ain't gonna work unless you cut the nose up, and then it's still gonna be too short. All the Kyosho stuff won't help.
I'd trade you a truck chassis, noseplate and front bulkhead for the gold rear bumper.

Re: Another RC10T *finally received*
Yes I'm building a truck.
Why shouldn't I be able to build one with this graphite chassis?
If I use the RC10T front bulkhead with the graphite chassis I should be fine ?? I allready have too many RC10T/GT suspension arms to choose from.
Only need few things I guess...

The rear gold bumper looks nice on one side only

Re: Another RC10T *finally received*
saucisse, PM me if you want to dispose of those Andy's Ultima arms....
The 10T front bulkhead is very narrow compared to the buggy split-style front arm mounts. Only a 4 bolt bulkhead versus the 6 bolt buggy style also.

Re: Another RC10T *finally received*
and the Graphite chassis is made for the buggy, truck chassies are longer... The rear bumper is in nice condition compared to some I have. If you really want it to be perfect, use sandpaper (fine grit) and the polish it. I would personnally leave it as is, but that's just my 2 cents

Which one, the AE chassis or the one the truck is built on now? I may be interested in the current one this truck is built on.

Re: Another RC10T *finally received*
That's an Ultima chassis and complete Ultima front end. The front axles are loose because the previous owner has adapted it to fit RC10 wheels by just popping a pair of RC10 front axles into the Ultima steering blocks, the Ultima axles are much thicker.
Re: Another RC10T *finally received*
I'll let you know this week. I'm supposed to take the truck apart to start the build up soon.JK Racing wrote:Which one, the AE chassis or the one the truck is built on now? I may be interested in the current one this truck is built on.

Here are some pics to show how the projct is going on. Most of the parts are new except for the black tub which is in really good condition. I haven't got the time yet to polish the front/rear arms which explains why there's a color difference with the other aluminum parts.

That looks really nice saucisse, can't wait to see the finished result.
BTW are you looking to sell the gold rear guard with the scratches which you posted above? If so pm me and let me know a price and stuff for shipping to the UK.
Cheers
Ed

Re: Another RC10T *project uptdated*
I already got the guard...
saucisse, that chassis is new if it's the one I sent you. There was an associated clearance sale a year or so ago on about 100 of those, unpackaged. Many of us jumped on that deal. I believe they were "seconds" with minor "storage wear" but definitely new parts. There was a second go round a month or two ago where the seller had some really rough new ones...
I think these chassis were the start of the warpspeed rc motorsports debacle...
