Striker is looking good! I always liked those, sort of the red-headed stepchild to the Falcon, which is one of my favorite old Tamiya buggies. And I too appreciate a good restoration. Rebuild em, run em, rebuild em again...
Yeah the striker was released in feb 1987 and the fx10 didnt arrive until the early 90's

Cheers, Squirts High gloss white enamel, applied the decals then Squirts Highgloss clear :) just have to be patient abd let it harden off before each next step .....

Started preparation of the body tonight, couldn't believe that the black around the driver came off with my high pressure airgun

The drivers head looks to have had an old man with the shakes paint it and use the same yellow for the eyes that was used for his suit

Hey all, well I finished removing all the paints off the body and helmet, then wet sanded with 600 grit . Gave everything a good wash then laid down the first coats on each, i'll give them another coat tomorrow . Coming up nice I think

Right, well did plenty with the driver painting tonight and tomorrow I should finish to be ready for the decals i'm not going to show the head until its on but i'm very happy with how its coming along :D

Mmmm, are you saying red-headed stepchildren have inferior frontsuspension by design ? :wink:

I must admit I prefer the lexan top of the FX10 for looks , but Maybe there's even more creative solutions to give it a distinctive look.

still have some minor detailing to do before appling the decals, but i'm pretty happy with results so far, and his head is coming along nicely too :D

Ok so I've completed the body , I did all paint and decals then finished with 2 coats of clear. I very happy with the driver , was a little tiresome doing all the detail but work it in the end? Now that this parts completed its time to put the last of the electronics in and shes done .
