I'm glad to hear TBG has improved. I must of gotten one of the first batches of bodies. I ordered a Yokomo 870c body back in early July of 2011 and the body was bowed outward. I have to use velcro to keep its shape when its on the car. I would by more bodies from them now though after hearing the good news.

How many versions of the Prosche 962 body did Bolink make? RJ Speed sells a 1/10 narrow 962 with PN BOL2217 and Windtunnel has the 1/12 with PN WT2018 (probably BOL2018 was the old Bolink PN).

Not to dissuade people from using TBG but it might be worthwhile to contact RJ Speed and Wind Tunnel to see if they have the original molds and would be willing to put them back into production.

Good point Phin, as Rick has been one of the few companies that seems to be ok with reproducing old bodies if he has the mold

Out of curiosoty what was it like getting a body repro'd by TBG, or anyone else?

I have a few pretty rare new bodies that i'd thought about sending away, but was unsure. Did you get your originals back undamaged and a new body for your trouble?

Paul.

Was pretty straight forward...just emailed them asking if they were interested in reproing the Batwedge and sent them pics. The originals get destroyed in the process of making the mould most times but even if they don't the release agent they use makes it impossible to paint the body from the inside. As compensation they give you 3 free bodies and a discount on your next purchase from them.

Same experience here. Super nice people and great communication but you won't get the original back.

It was almost a deal killer for me but the amount of people that will want bodies like that TOJ or Phin's bat wedge is greatly offsetting my selfishness

You pay shipping to an USA address, they ship direct to you from Canada on their dime

I'll e-mail TBG in the morning! I hope they'll do it as it's such a cool body. I seriously want to build a 12E funny car with a brushless lipo setup. There's bound to be a few accidents with that setup you know lol. I don't care about the original body as long as we have lots of copies for everyone then it's worth it to me. I still plan on sending you that 12E keyhole chassis to copy too. I'm going to wait for all this Xmas stuff be over and then I'll go down to the post office and get it sent off. I'll let you know.

He loves 1/12 and I know he won't turn down that vega

No hurry on the chassis, work has me pretty busy still anyway

Excellent! The detail on that body is fantastic. The blower looks almost scale on that beauty.

TBG has the Batwedge repro bodies up on eBay for those that might have been waiting.

Search for Bat Wedge...with the space.

More Bolink bodies?

TBG also added a few new repros of bodies that RJ Speed and Wind Tunnel still produce and honestly I'm a bit surprised TBG isn't getting told to stop.
