CE club-racer project

Post by ra272 »

Hi, this is my RC10CE club racer project.

This is how it was when I received it.

It was in overall good shape, but some parts had to be changed to make it a CE.

And this is the result:

Front parts are still a little yellowish :?

Last picture, after his first run in my living room

I'm now waiting for a new protech 2 body and a wing from Tower. I hope I can get those parts soon, cause next race is sunday 18.

That's turned out great, what's in the magic bucket :?:

Really hot water, bleaching powder, bleach, soap...I let all white parts in this bucket for a few days. That works very well with slightly yellow parts.

This is the first test I made: those 6 parts have been washed with soap, but only three have soak in the "magic bucket". You can easily see the result:

It works better with thin parts (like wheel)...

Well, it's not miraculous, If you watch the test photos, you can see that A arms became whiter but NOT white.

Those look great, but I have a question:
What is "bleaching powder?" Is there a brand name to look for?
Thanks

No but it's the best results I've seen and it made quite a difference to the overall look of the car.
