Re: Custom Works Dominator w/white parts, mini-resto
Much appreciated Reggie. I just called though and it rang and rang, got vm again. I'll call again in a half hour if I can remember with the hectic day at work.
I would have left a vm but you know......... didn't get very far in the past few weeks doing that. Am I calling the right # from their website, the one that ends in 8147?

Anyone have a better (larger) picture showing this Dominator? It looks like a brochure or ad of some sort.

Eau Rouge had a killer live example of that car in the pic until he took his pictures down... He had painted it for a member here I believe so there may be another picture somewhere. I've never seen it though.

Would love to see that pic, too bad he took his down. Thanks for posting the larger version, is it an ad from the 80's?

Re: Custom Works Dominator w/white parts, mini-resto
Here's a snapshot of some of the parts I've accumulated, and I started installing them last night on the front-end. The one-way bearings are apparently pressed into the front hubs, and I completely forgot I even had the hubs because they were still bolted to the front wheels. So I may have extra nip parts.
I'm not sure I quite understand the orientation of the one-way bearings, it seems as though I have the right and left side having different orientations when I assume the Dom meant for them to be one-way for forward drive motion only. I just re-installed the hubs with the old one-ways already in-place so I'm not sure if one was put in backwards?
The Dominator instruction manual (yes, I located an original, vintage manual) is pretty vague.

Re: Custom Works Dominator w/white parts, mini-resto
The one way bearing in front should roll freely when you turn the wheel forward and catch when you roll it in reverse. It seems backwards if you look at it logically and I've never even laid eyes on the instruction booklet so I may be wrong. I'm no expert on 4wd oval so someone please correct me if that's wrong. I'm not an expert on anything for that matter...
