ok...my last rc10 project. i had some parts left from the last project, so i am going to make a car i dont mind driving. flat black pan, nose and motor plate, black wheels, plastic and a black body. calling it a six gear "stealth."
If you aren't going to buy black towers, the glass ones dye pretty well just gotta get em hot and leave em in for a while.
I think I have a set of bones and a black battery cup/strap....maybe more if you need some help finding parts. Cheaper than eBay!

Sadly I have never got a very good dye job on the servo savers, they will take dye but still seem kind of transparent. .maybe I didn't leave them in long enough, def worth a try
I just did a couple glass chassis a few weeks ago, they took it pretty well. You can kind of see the pattern almost like a kyosho frp chassis.

x2, but as with diet pills "results may vary". Looks like a great runner project. The 6 gear doesn't really get much love but it's a smooth bitch. Sexy shape too.

it sure feels like powdercoat. it is just too beat up to leave it, even for a runner.

looks like i am the last person to do one of these. oh well i guess i will get to have one too
So I’ve just about wrapped up the design phase of this project with just one or two small details yet to sort out. Here's where the design stands at the moment...

Thanks for the compliments guys. I’m not sure I would call it “awesome”; I’m hoping to save the awesome stuff for the replica. But thanks again for the kind words. :D

There are different RC10 4WD conversions in the past.....but the prices are terribly high which I am not able to afford any one of them now......so I decided to build my own one instead...... :)

First i had to say is that it's not a resto project.
When i started racing in 90's i got a RC10 team car issue that i really loved, but i was dreaming of something else... so about 20years after i started to do build this car:
I came upon this buggy yester sitting in someones basement, it had been mostly died black. I decided to turn this into my main racer and black is the theme. The six speed went and the fresh rebuild and dyed stealth is no in it. All white will be...

Hi rctenracer, Im the one who bought the 6 gear off ebay from you. Sorry about the transaction taking a bit longer than it should have. Didn't realize you were on here.
Did you paint and detail the body and driver on that car? It is simply...

Stealth Fighter was my race body back in the day, the tight fit makes it really nice when using velcro to mount the body. Plus no dirt gets inside the tub. I would definately buy one if someone reproed these... hint hint mrlexan  :D
New member here. I recently went to my parents to help empty their ground floor as they live on the Jersey Shore and are having their house raised. Unfortunately they had a good amount of damage due to Hurricane Sandy and one of the...

I believe the B2 idler does not fit.
you should not need grease in the stealth if you are running stock gears, just the clear in the diff, black on the thrust.
if you are finding that there is a bind every rotation, I would think it's the top...
