Lancia Stratos- on road or off road?
I have a 1/12 Lancia Stratos body and I'm having a hard time deciding between putting it on a 12e (on road) or a Jerobee ATV chassis ("off road"). It looks equally cool on either, and it's era-correct for both.
Thoughts?

Re: Lancia Stratos- on road or off road?
Ugh you guys are killing me! I was hoping the voting would be closer as I was trying to get out of attempting that crazy ass paint scheme on the rally car.
I have decided, it will go on the Jerobee "off road" chassis. But I think it will have to be a privateer paint scheme, there is no way I can pull that off. Thinking about a white main body with either some light blue or red.

Re: Lancia Stratos- on road or off road?
I'd consider going the offroad version only if the body didn't look too high (and cartoonish) on the chassis... the offroad rally Stratos still looked like an onroad car, with a slight increase in suspension.
Could go best of both worlds, and do a Monte Carlo Rally version on the 12e... still a rally car, but predominately paved roads (and snow and ice!). I like the blue Chardonnet version, although there is also a Chardonnet le Point that would work too.
Normal Chardonnet
le Point version

Re: Lancia Stratos- on road or off road?
After test fitting it to the Jerobee, it will fit but not without adding on some body mount and the side pods for the batteries push the body out a bit. It sits nice on the 12e but may be a little too on-roadish. I still think it will fit the 12e better but ill have to see if I can get it to look right. I also found that there is a bit of lexan damage on the left side, it was very very thin when made. Going to have to reinforce after paint.
I love all the options, but it makes it hard to decide!

Re: Lancia Stratos- on road or off road?
I have one of the HPI Stratos bodies. I guess you could say I went "off-road" with it:
...but if I got another one it would be on-road, and "civilian" paint.
