Has anyone here performed this modification to the RC10? If so, can you post links to the parts and prices?
I think this would be a great way for those who want to keep the RC10 look but update some of the parts. I plan on doing this soon to my World's car, but I don't want to buy incorrect parts since this conversion will not be cheap. So far, I calculated +$130.

you don't need the fancy rear hubs or hexes, unless you wanted them. the plastic parts would be perfectly fine. that should knock the cost down a little.
you should be able to find the front and rear hubs as take off parts pretty easily on ebay. for that setup, I believe the CVDs are B44 rears. these modifications are part of the 'whats old is new' line of cars that people have been building for a couple years now. plenty of search material for you to dig through.
bearings from avid are $1.00 each. Jconcepts wheels are cheap for a pack of 4 rears or fronts, so you end up with a spare set. I'd say you might be able to do that conversion, including wheels and tires for less than $100 with some smart shopping.
I'm not sure what exactly I need for front end parts - Any parts with links or numbers are greatly appreciated. Or even what car we need the parts from.

I did ask... lol. I got the rear part down, it's just the front. I was told B4 spindles/SC10.2 front axles, but from the photo it looks like the caster block is different from what the car comes with.
Just don't want to place several orders because I missed other parts.
Good, he used SC10 front/rear hex kit (available in plastic as well as the clamping alloy) & SC10 front axles.
I think I have most of these parts already in my spares , but I just placed an order for more wheels/tires for the stock geometery car. Maybe my next build will share wheels with my B5.

I have been contemplating electronics (brushless) for my new / vintage RC10 Worlds that is on its way to me. I want to modernize it and I have been lurking on this forum for a while and have seen some good options for a lot of things. However, I am...

oh, i was figuring off a 2.25 stealth, i didn't realize that you are running a 2.65.
I'm new here. I've been reading tons of thread and posts for the pass week or so and I figured I'd register and post my RC10 modernizing adventure.
Just a quick history on how I got this car... My first RC was a Tamiya Hornet. I had a...

I know, I've considered shelving it. But I figured that if I really enjoy it, I'll get a new car next summer and move the new electronics over to that car. But for now I just want to see this old fart run again and fast! :)
I haven’t had to buy anything yet. Let’s see how far I can get.
No plans for electronics yet. I’m just winging it. I’ll get in another hour tomorrow. Always takes me the longest to find parts in my inventory. I will have to...

After a little cleanup, I can tell this chassis used to have a rpm chassis brace and front bumper.
I bought the chassis with turnbuckles, front tower, front arms and top plate. And the wrong chassis plate! It came with a T4/B4 chassis plate and...
I found a kit online to convert the SC10 2WD to all four wheels to 12mm Hex. So I can use any modern wheels, but I don't want to spend $35 if they don't fit. Please help.

Mate you still need to use the sc10 caster block with that steering block.. And you can do it for much cheaper with sc10rs parts from team associated...
I happened into a set of bones and axles that look like they fit a 10t, same length as stock side by side, but the axles are metric. Are there any hubs that would be close enough to the same off set and height, but are metric? Something like...

This is a Traxxas carrier beside one from a 10T. They are the common 2WD version from the Stampede, Rustler, Slash, and others.
It isn't perfect but could probably be made to work.
Since the RC10 has been converted into who knows how many different type vehicles, is anyone working on a CORR truck conversion for their RC10?
I'm guessing it would be easier to start with a T4 since that's what the...

 no worries, i love horror movies, especially the shining
And by the way, you're right! If he does the SC10 conversion he DEFINITELY needs a new thread.
as of late, there has been a bunch of the same kind of threads being started. guy digs out his old r/c from his parent's attic or basement and now he wants to get it going again with modern electronics. i know for me, i get tired of answering the...

Thank you for all the info and taking the time to explain it to me Joseph. I'm not 100% set on having him use the vintage one, but I have several, probably 6-8 rollers I got over the years when I saw a good deal. I have lots of back up parts as...
