Been a while, but building a Re-release worlds car with RPM worlds wide arms based on a composite craft chassis. The purpose is to compete in a local vintage race "with an edge on the competition"!
More details and a complete Bill Of Materials to follow. I've reached out to composite craft for custom changes as well as RPM. Stay tuned.
you will need rpm rear arm mounts, that show up on ebay from time to time. Many many MANY people have asked RPM to reinstate the correct parts for this chassis to no avail, so my best regards in getting anything out of them.
You need longer arms overall like the original rpm arms or, the klien arms that are used on a lot of WOIN cars would be suitable for this chassis, otherwise, it will end up being very narrow. the key parts though will be those rear arm mounts.
take close look at the rc10 car of the month, which is what you are attempting to build.
Agreed. a CC/RPM Worlds car uses only a few stock RC10 suspension pieces. At the very least you would need RPM Worlds rear arms and mounts. Rear hub carriers are different but you could probably get by with stock ones. I think a stock bulkhead can be modified and used. Not sure about the shock tower as its been a while. Also, you don't seem to have the correct Worlds front arms or shock tower. As it is now, this thing must be very narrow.
I sure hope you didn't drill out those rear mount holes in the chassis for 8-32 screws since the forward holes are supposed to be 4-40!
I had an original CC Worlds and also RPM's full plastic version a lifetime ago. Definitely cool cars, something different.
Thanx for the info guys. I spoke with Jason at composite craft and had him custom cut a new lower chasis for me that will accept the normal rc10 rear suspension. I'll have it early this week.
Finished it minus the electronics. Figured I'd share some pics. I ended up scoring a used original RPM worlds car and pulled the suspension arms / mounts off that and put it on the composite craft chassis. I went with my old colors I used to use when I raced back in the late 80's and early 90's but kind of a Kinwald tribute.
I've been following a lot of different threads here and I really would like to build a Worlds/OIN car. I ran across this on Ebay last month:
I really wanted it but I was outbid in the end. I later found out that it is a Composite Craft '91...

Some new updates, I converted to the bigger (1/2 ) bearing RPM rear hubs, a new set of 3/16 CVDs (I thought I ordered shiney but missed the fine print! ), Brand new rere motor plate, RPM motor guard, GT axles, B4 wheels and PinPoint tires. I...
Admittedly going to be a long while until I get into this one, still working out exactly what I want to do with it. C5A92806-54BD-485C-B3E3-C0C7D9E0EE3A.jpeg 0BA8FDC2-4871-4BA4-BAF1-B6DA66345508.jpeg DB2881C1-9CC4-4534-8453-CF8FA7371D6D.jpeg...

Are you wrenching on this one still? My interest is piqued. :D
RPM Worlds front springs RCCA 05-1993.JPG
Btw probably the only description I’ve ever seen of the springs short of medium and soft.
I'm in the middle of building a composite craft/RPM worlds buggy and trying to figure out the best body to use on it. It looks like the ultramolded chassi preference is a losi xx body, but I haven't seen if there is something recommended for the...

Possibly. I've got other stuff I want to pick up that is higher priority right now.
The CC RPM Worlds was based on the '91 Worlds Stealth buggy that AE developed for the loamy Freedom Hill Park track in Detroit that was hosting the 1991 IFMAR Off-Road Worlds. RPM developed the '91 Worlds front end kit for AE team drivers that...

The vintage Autographics number decals arrived today. At this point I am calling it done for now. Thanks to all that offered advice and contributed parts to the build. :D
A all new complete RC10 Composite Craft / RPM World 1991 , I had an Hydradrive and the Yokomo wheel adapter 8)
On this one I use a Houge Enterprise steering system !
Hey guys, just wanted some opinions with what you have done to the rear bulkhead to make it fit with the a-arms. Also I am running into some clearance problems with the upper deck hitting the rear shock tower... what did you guys do? Any suggestions...

couple different examples. all black rig shows stock tower and just clearancing the area under the upper deck screws, keeping the gap overall nice and tasty (imho). second pic shows how little of the stock bulk really needs to be trimmed.
Hello Everyone! Well its been in my collection long enough and i couldn't look at it unbuilt any longer. This did however take me the longest of any other project to locate the needed parts but was well worth the wait. This is what i have done so...

I think having some of these parts machined in delrin would probably be a far cheaper method of having them recreated.
chad smith form dynotech was working on that but i don't know how far he ever got.
I have a nib Composite craft worlds chassis and would like to build and complete it. I have found some photos and other info on here, but still have qhestions. I know that a rc10t or gt front bulkhead will be needed. What arms do i use and do they...
