Hello from Dripping Springs Tx

Post by radioactivity »

I lived in Southern Il. when I picked up the RC bug over 30 yrs ago, when I was in my late 30's.
I raced for about 4 or 5 years then I guess other hobbies and work got priorities.
I recently built my wife a NIB Losi JRX pro. For myself, I am resurecting my Houge RC10.
Seems like a lot has changed since I raced.
The site is a wealth of information, great community.

Thank you
Got to say I am new to forums.
This is my first.
Old dog learning new tricks.
Posting a picture seems like magic to me.
If I can figure out how, I'll try.

Greatings. I hail from central Il. You're in good company - I reckon there are a few of us old dogs here. Welcome to the pack.

Thank you too!
Can anyone point me in a good direction to help me post pictures?
Again I'm new to forums.
It seems like there several methods, none of which I understand.

Not sure if it's the best way but I've been drag 'n dropping them directly into the reply box - usually just after typing my comment.
I don't know if it still matters but I resize mine to < 256k before posting them. Hope this helps.

A little guidance and voila!
Thanks xlr8.
Easier than I thought it would be.
I hope I might even do a better photo job for future pics.
BTW this is a 1st attempt at a "dip". It's OK hoping for better future results.

Thanks again

Congratulations! Wow, that looks fantastic. Maybe you could start a how-to hydro-dip post in the paint and body forum?

Thanks Brian

You probably are correct.
Drippin' is just west of Austin and Fredricksburg is about 45 miles west of us.
It has sure changed since we moved here 10 years ago.
We have a Home Depot!

Thanks NomadRacer
The area here is growing fast!
Buy yourself some boots and a cowboy hat and mosey on over.
We got the Hill Country, not mountains but...

Just looked up Dripping Springs, TX......Kinda looks like a place I would like to live. How close/far are the springs from town?

Is the name Radioactivity just because of the RC stuff or are you involved with radioactive material handling?
