I am researching the rc10 DS and I came across how convert the rc10ds to accept hex axles.
I am posting it up here as it disappeared from the rc10.com site

I am making a list of the parts necessary that may work and are still available.
Custom Works I am not sure if these are 1:1 drop in parts
Associated #7211 Kingpin ballstud 1 package $4.00
Custom Works RC ON CENTER KING PIN KIT
I picked up 12e and I'm waiting for it to be shipped out.
Looking at the manual it seems pretty complete.

Body looks really good all polished up. Nice work ! ...But it isn't a 2048 Camao:
Your body is a Firebird/Trans Am. I don't recall who made the body back in the day but TBG is currently reproducing it:
I'm really not interested is trying to make a faithful replica of anyone else's car, but the Dead Pool RC10 is a street based RC10 with my favorite Corvette body so I definitely need one as a runner (probably without real explosive charge, even...

Man i remember seeing thos system way back and thinking it was awesome. Great peice to have!
Well, I'm pretty sure it is a 10L... I had always wanted one. This one came up on RC Crawler.com.. got it for $35 shipped, with a TON of vintage foam tires.
Will someone please tell me if this is an Associated front end, and if not, who...

Nothing CSI related, I'm just hoping someone out there can tell me which Associated body is used on the 10L box art? I want to know which Nissan that is.
I was given this in a haul from ex-Team Associated, team Reedy and Team Novak driver Jimmy Davis fairly recently. He let me have a heap of Novak parts including the elusive white/translucent Novak NES-1A servo as per the Kent Clausen 1982 World...

I swear that is the same exact driver in my Kyosho Scorpion. Or maybe I’m just crossing a Scorpion and a 10b driver in my mind. Cool early stuff you have there
One question about flipping the gearbox around to do a mid motor. Isn't a reverse rotator motor needed, or a 0 degree timing motor that can be run reverse polarity for driving forward? I've always flipped the top shaft direction when I do a mid...

I realized that I am using a servo mounting on this car I hadn't seen anyone else use yet.

Hey there, I'm putting together an old Nitro DS that I picked up to relive my earlier RC days now that I have adult money lol.

Greetings all! I've been having fun lately with my recently resurrected Factory Team TC3 that I've had since it was new in '92 or so? I think the TC3 is a great car. Very adjustable, light, works great, etc, etc. Enjoyed it so much that I bought a...

Well that's a bummer to find out. Still, I'd take Taiwan made any day over mainland China. Most of the high end gaming computer motherboards are sourced from Taiwan.
So I have been having a lot of fun with my ol' TC3 lately. So much so that I bought a second one for my son to run with me. My car currently has a Novak SS5800 brushless set up, and I'm running a new 6 cell 3300mAh Dynamite NiMh battery. I've got it...

I've been searching the threads here for some alternatives to TC3 outdrives. I actually have the Factory Team TC3, which came with the composite outdrives, part 3908. I guess the RTR and standard kits came with the steel outdrives , part 3912. But...

You just ream the hole to 1/8 . A couple of mine have them.
Ive used the axle/c-hubs from the associated SC10 4x4. And as Juicedcoupe mentioned, you ream the hinge pin hole to 1/8 in order to accommodate the larger diameter DS hinge pin.
I am in the making of an adapter for the old RC12l/LW/LS to mount the newer 3-bolt wheels. I know one is available from shapeways, but I want it made out of alloy. I just need the exact diameter of the 3-bolt circle. It is not very exact to...

My suggestion would be to file in the flat spot into the diff halves instead it'd be easier and you'd only have to do it once and be able to use both types of diff rings.

Buggy stealth gearbox
Motor plate

Rear bulkhead
battery cup
