After searching for info on ABS and brakes I’m just coming up with info on ABS plastics and bodies.
I’m about to buy a new 2.4 GHz radio and do away with the old FM one. Is a radio with ABS not so necessary and more of hype or is it really liked by...

Thanks guys, based on that I wont let the lack of ABS on the radio influence my purchase choice.
These are a popular, common charger so I figure someone here has the answer to this question. I recently picked up an almost-new 230 and was surprised at how complicated the manual was. By comparison, my Onyx 200 is a very simple deal, just connect,...

Point taken. Next time you try to charge the pack use the 3mv setting and see what happens. I seem to remember that we used to use 3mv/c for NiMh's when I last used them. Too much more than that and they would get too hot. -Jeff
I got the electronics working in the Marui Galaxy I'm working on. Programmed the ESC (one from a re-re Tamiya Grasshopper) and it programmed successfully. Neutral and full forward work fine, but I'm having a strange issue with full reverse.

Confirmed! It turns out the ESC is working just as it should. It's funny that none of the other ESCs I've used work that way; they brake when you hit full reverse for a period of time that you specify, then go into reverse...none of this reverse...

Does anyone know if I can use LIPO batteries with a normal TEU 101 tamiya speed controller? Any advice will be much appreciated!
Thanks!

I used to run Tamiya M-Chassis' with the teu esc. I used it with a spektrum receiver, and no alarm. If you are racing, you don't really need an alarm. You're only running the car for 5 or 6 minutes at a time... that leaves more than enough volts in...
I recently installed a Mamba Max 5700 into a Gold Pan RC10. I am experiencing what would be considered a glitch. On occasion when I press the throttle there is no response from the car. What am I doing wrong that would help correct this problem.
Last post
I think the OP is talking about a Mamba Max system which is sensorless, so they do cog occasionally. If there is actually no response at all when the throttle is depressed, I would run through the setup process for the esc. It almost sounds like the...
I’ve searched and searched and am still very confused. I’m running an RC10B. Currently super stock brushed motor. Once it’s pretty much worn out I’ll be going to an equivalent brushless motor and controller. I’m about to buy my first LiPo batteries....

You can always charge at the 1c capacity of the battery...5A for 5000, 3.2A for 3200, etc. That being said, most newer, better quality packs you can charge at 2c no problem. A friend of mine has been charging at 4c because he is impatient ...
I am trying to move into the 21st century and thinking of trying Lipo batteries, but I am scared of them. If these things start on fire, I would be in deep trouble.

Maybe because they're new and haven't had any juice put through...

many different factors....rotor size makes a big difference. the VXL is almost 18mm if I remember right. larger rotor, more torque, more torque taller gears - faster top speed, and good acceleration to boot.
I'm buying some new stuff to put a slash together for my nephew. All I really have left to buy is an brushless ESC/motor and batteries for it. I'll most likely be putting a sensorless ESC/motor into the truck. I have very little experience with...

My old to new build has hit a snag. Ordered a low profile servo from hobby king. It fits but it glitches and makes a lot of gear noise. So I ordered a hitek 77mg low profile. Its nice but its too long. 1.73 instead of a 1.6 Now all I care about is...

In a brushed motor the timing is mechanical, the armature coils energize on/off at a certain position of rotation and this is mechanical. This is why you can run dual brushed motors on a brushed ESC. The ESC is just controlling the...
