Re: Sinyih Laser 2wd
Interesting, never heard of that one...the wheels are a little weird, but I love those tires. Are they stock or currently available somewhere?
And I should say those pics give new meaning to the term "bathtub chassis".

Re: Sinyih Laser 2wd
Those wheels are not the originals, right?
I had a set and think they were from "Drastic"
that belt pitch looks the same as on a trackmaster's turbo-glide.
why's the moter on the wrong side? Big, spur on the outside, belt on the inside... the moter should be on the same side as on a triumph transmission unles that red endbell moter is a reversed rotation one

I noticed that too. Maybe the designers were left-handed?Mr. ED wrote: why's the moter on the wrong side? Big, spur on the outside, belt on the inside... the moter should be on the same side as on a triumph transmission unles that red endbell moter is a reversed rotation one

Re: Sinyih Laser 2wd
Ah Yes, here in the states it was distributed by Dialed Racing Products. It was called the Lightning. I ran for them for several years, and did som R&D on that car. The one pictured was an earyl version because the tranny/motor plate is backward. THey quickly changed it after I told them they would never be able to sell it that way . The belt was too long in the tranny, and skipped like crazy. The shocks are poor in quality, but work rather nicely, and are "Big Bore" style. And yes, those are the stock rims. -Jeff

Re: Sinyih Laser 2wd
Wow. What a crazy-looking car.
That Lexan body is super-cool.
The reverse motor thing is just awesome. Yeah, it would make it pretty hard to sell(!).
Pretty hard to get parts, I'm guessing ...

Re: Sinyih Laser 2wd
Hard to get parts? This is only the second one I have seen in the last 20 years (besides mine). However, many of the Kyosho parts should fit. -Jeff
Re: Sinyih Laser 2wd
Hey, that's two of those rare cars with the same wheels! If they aren't the originals then that's the biggest coincidence I've seen in a long while. I have a new set of those rims and was wondering what they were.

Yeah, I remembered that I got them from you Rick. I like them, they are on an Ultima chassis at the moment. Waiting for resto like everything else.
