The Official "What is it?" Thread
Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I believe it does have the original wheels. I bought it in a lot with a rc10t team truck and a TA01 Mercedes. I am waiting on all of them to arrive.

I'm going out on a limb and saying that the Lightspeed motor is a 36* stock motor going by the pink, locked endbell. Keep in mind I could be completely wrong

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Thanks Adam, anyone else care to take a shot?
I had thought it was closer to a basic stocker, no adjustment for timing obviously. The #1 on the bottom of the can made me think it might be more.
36 degree? Possible for sure, I wish I would have bought Big Jims RC motor black book.

I'm going to agree on the motor. Best way is to line up the tabs with a known 24 motor and see if the brush hoods align.

Good idea, should have thought of that. Without taking it completely apart I am still searching for how many turns it might be, and what RPM range it runs.JK Racing wrote:I'm going to agree on the motor. Best way is to line up the tabs with a known 24 motor and see if the brush hoods align.
I have been on vacation the last three weeks, and a few R/C boats have taken over while the weather is so nice.
Now that I think about it, I just might try the Lightspeed in one of my older hulls. Thanks guys.

Here's a part that I have had no luck in figuring out.
I know it's JG and think it's for an srb, and that is about it.
Anybody ever seen 1 on an srb?

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
If I was to make an edumakated guess, I would say that those are mono-shock mounts, to mount a single JG T-01 monoshock to an SRB. Of course, a fair bit of *I think* involved there.......scootmike wrote:Here's a part that I have had no luck in figuring out.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Stock motors are 27T single or 27 X 1, timing was the only change on some cans. Higher timing - more RPM/heat, less punch/torque.Diamond Dave wrote:Good idea, should have thought of that. Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I have seen this before, and had forgotten about it. No idea why I did not save the link. It was awhile ago when I was bidding on a listing for Big Jims black book of motors. (Thanks to Todd)
Thanks for posting that and reminding me. I will be doing some reading for sure.
