ok no worries i guess i will ask somewhere else..
i figured that seeing as though it was a brand that was big in the states.. not here in australia that someone might be able to give a estimate, that is why i asked.. bolink cars are completely new to me.. kyosho stuff no worries i have a good idea..

ok just found one similar on ebay for $350 US..
i guess my sources asking price is great seeing it is 1/3 of that..

The problem is there are too many variables in this hobby to give an accurate price on what something is worth. And that includes location of the item as well.

I personally think $350 for that kit would be crazy but someone else might be happy to pay that.

i agree and that is part of the thrill of finding that random car that is hard to find.. alot of the time i pay more than what they are worth because it is something i want..

the bolink stuff is something a little different for me... completely different to what i normally chase after, hence just buying a bolink eliminator..

i'll make him a offer and see where it goes.. only money afterall

Weren't they like $99 US when new? You can still buy the current RJ Speed kit for $104 US.

Unlike Pawn Stars, we don't shoot ourselves in the foot by giving estimates. That said, I'm pretty sure besides tires that is the same kit RJ Speed still sells for $104 on Tower Hobbies (thanks rc10th). Is it worth more with the Bolink name on it? That's for the buyer to decide but parts wise, it's nothing special

Also, eBay asking prices are quite often very different from eBay selling prices. Some vintage sellers on eBay have items with absolutely asinine asking prices...but they don't sell. If you can find completed listings for a similar item, that would be a more accurate estimate of an item's actual value--but with rare items, you won't find many (or any) completed listings.

Hence, it's not possible to give you an accurate estimate of what that item is worth. It's worth whatever you and the seller can agree upon.

The RJ Speed version also has a separate plastic roll cage and a different body, but you can still get the original Bolink Sprint car body (where the cage is part of the lexan body) from Windtunnel.
