Re: CUSTOM JRX2 BUILD
That's definitely true; starting a resto/build thread gets people's attention and builds momentum as you get closer to completing the build, then you can share the final "money shots" at the conclusion. A build thread is like foreplay.LosiXXkid wrote:PS A build thread would have been nice though!

It would be interesting to hear more about how you achieved the 5-Link trailing arms with the RC10 nose tubes......particularly when it comes to fitting the ball cups on either end......neat solution!hugger19 wrote:rc10 nose tubsthe holes where the perfect size and place for the rear shocks to mount.

I'm sure there are others that would be interested also.....

Re: CUSTOM JRX2 BUILD
The set I have is marked Ultima only p/n 3500 in black. My understanding is that they are the same part but possibly a different hinge pin hole as the kyosho are metrichugger19 wrote:yup the part numbers are the same. from my info that i got.Charlie don't surf wrote: So the Andy's arms for the Ultima fit the Losi's?
Just more proof that the JRX2 front end was a Kyosho copy

Re: CUSTOM JRX2 BUILD
Hey that's a very nice build as well here in the so-called 'dead forum'. So did you simply tap the front nose tubes? Very cool solution! I need these white front arms badly. Any shell in the works yet?

Re: CUSTOM JRX2 BUILD
You often see similar designs on old monster trucks and newer crawlers. Either use some threaded rod cut a little longer than the tube length. Or glue two shorter bits of treaed rod at either end using 2-component epoxy glue. Or pick the size of the tube and ball ends such that you can make an inner tread at the end of the tube.LosiXXkid wrote:It would be interesting to hear more about how you achieved the 5-Link trailing arms with the RC10 nose tubes......particularly when it comes to fitting the ball cups on either end......neat solution!hugger19 wrote:rc10 nose tubsthe holes where the perfect size and place for the rear shocks to mount.

Because of the cross-drill need for mounting the shocks on the lower link you'd be easier of with the second or third option.
