What transmission is this? I got it with an RC10 lot. It appears that it could line up with the bulkhead holes and the rear 6-gear trans holes on an RC-10 chassis?

Excuse my ignorance scr8p, but is J-car a brand or a specific car? My "J-car" google search didn't show me much that looked right...

It was the company name. Other than that trans (and variations for use in other cars - jrx2/ultima) and an onroad conversion chassis for the rc10, I don't really know what else they made.

Anyone know what these wheels and adapters are for? They look similar to Hot Shot or other 4wd buggies from that era. They're another one of those parts that looks familiar but I can't quite remember what they were for.

You are pry correct on the tamiya side of it. They are also on the Traxxas Wildcat....
