It might be a form of sacrilege to put an AE body on a Losi anyway. A baja bug body sounds very cool. Then again, I like baja bug bodies on everything! It's hard to believe that AE missed the mark so much on these small scale trucks. With all the cool small scale rc cars over the years like Kyosho Baja Bug series and their Mini Z and the micro Losi trucks, I can't believe that this is the lineup from AE. Seems like a cheap grab at Christmas cash.

Yeah, pretty lame.
I don't know if you saw on the previous page, I posted the link to the original buggy, AE just rebranded it by putting on a different body and wheels and tires, it's not even their design. :|

Wow. A rebadged Exceed? AE has obviously lost all respect for their customers. I guess this is a painful reminder that AE doesn't actually exist anymore. Just another brand name owned by a faceless corporation that sells us chinese made crap. :x

Wow. It's cold out there. I got a 28T. Wasn't expecting much and it is what it is. Needs a Ti rear axle. Fun enough.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Yeah... I didn't mean to come on so strong with the negativity. I'm sure there are plenty out there that are having a blast with these little trucks. For me, since the 80's, AE has been an icon of rc racing and has always been the "go to" if you wanted a real competitive top shelf race machine. They didn't make bashers or toys. I guess I'm just a grumpy old fart who doesn't like change. Pay no mind to me---have fun with your trucks. They did get that 10T body right. Looks really cool.

The got the buggy body right too! And the wheels aren’t too shabby either. It’s just the rest that leaves me “meh”. I can’t wait to see if Brian can come up with something printed that replaces...well, everything lol.

I wish I had some idea when they buggies would be in stock... anyone see anything timing wise?

For sure I'm going to design a new front for it... a bulkhead with mounts for arms and a g10 tower that I'm sure I could get SOMEONE to cut for me
Then arms obviously and will try to use their steering knuckles, we'll see. Thinking about using the rear shocks on the front. Or.... print shock bodies in Nylon and dye them yellow/gold
If I get it to work well I'll make a kit available.

I saw that... they literally did nothing but a body and wheels/tires.

Wow, that's a lot!

For this thing, another option might be to just make a new extended chassis for the Losi Micro DT to fit those 28th scale AE bodies and adapt the RC28 "jelly beans" to it. It's a far better car, even if it is a Losi :P
